Therefore, to ensure change that you can believe in I urge you to vote for me:

KHIM TRAN to Vice President of Education, Representation & Welfare

Recent data shows that approximately 2,500 Students Voted last year, which means the elections failed to entice around 7,500 members of the University Community!

It is my hope to bridge this gap and reach out to those that feel they do not have a voice and have lost faith in identifiable and sustainable change.

Elected into the position of Vice President of Education, Representation & Welfare, I will be working alongside the future Vice President of Student Activities, the Vice President of Media and Communications and the respective Presidents from QMSU & BLSA. I shall utilize my vast experience of working as part of a team, to achieve common goals and aims in the interests of the University community as a whole.

The key points of my manifesto are:

- Cheaper food on campus and vending machines
- Extending the Library opening times throughout the week
- Extended times for prayer rooms for students of all faiths
- More on-line learning and assessments
- Wireless internet access across the entire campus and halls of residence
- Enhancing the careers service to create greater awareness of opportunities and increase employability
- Ensure elections are more accessible and reach a wider audience
- Complete refurbishment of BLSA Student’s Union and the buildings upon campus (Maths, Geography, Chemistry and Physics)
- More social areas, events and activities that encourage interaction

and many more!

*Please see my full manifesto for more details.

In addition I plan to work closely with the new and exciting BLSA Full Time Student Welfare officer so the finances are managed correctly and to the benefit of those it is intended to serve. To ensure this is carried out, I shall implement measures that will ensure greater transparency in the way the figures are reported.

Furthermore, I will also work closely with all the course representatives, sabbatical officers and trustees. It is important that I am held accountable for the works that I intend to carry out and it is only fair that you the community I will serve can access me. To allow for this to happen I will hold a weekly question and answer session where all are invited to ask me of the progress being made and also suggest more ideas.

DON’T FORGET, without your VOTE, none of this can happen.

So remember, “Khim Tran” – Vice-President Education, Representation & Welfare (No.1)

Please join the official facebook group too, as your support is much valued and it is an opportunity for you to ask me anything you wish to know more about.
